Halifax Personal Accident Plan
This type of plan protects you against life’s little accidents that can leave you injured or permanently disabled. If you are between the ages of 18 and 59, and you are a permanent resident of the UK, you can apply for Halifax’s Personal Accident Plan. When you purchase your policy online, you’ll receive a 5 percent discount.
Halifax guarantees your acceptance. You are not required to take a health exam, and you will not have to answer any questions about your medical history. Following a successful claim, Halifax will pay a tax-free cash sum to you or your survivors. You can choose between two levels of cover - standard or premier. Premiums start at just £5.95 per month under the standard policy and £9.45 per month under the premier policy.
With a Standard Personal Accident Plan, Halifax covers your accidental death for up to £25,000. If an accident ever leaves you permanently disabled, you can claim up to £50,000. And if an accident costs you your hearing, your sight in both eyes, or your speech, you can claim up to £50,000.
If you lose sight in one eye, or if you lose a limb, you can claim up to £25,000. And Halifax will pay up to £500 if you fracture your hip or pelvis in an accident. For third degree burns, you can claim up to £5,000. For every day you are hospitalized following an accident, Halifax will pay you £50 for a maximum of 100 days.
Under a Premier Personal Accident Plan, your loved ones can claim up to £50,000 in the event of your accidental death. If an accident leaves you permanently disabled, Halifax will pay you up to £75,000 to help you cover your medical fees and living expenses. In the event that you lose a limb or your sight in one eye, you can claim up to £50,000. If you suffer from a loss of hearing in one ear, Halifax will pay out £15,000 upon receiving your claim.
